CWRU Radio Station WRUW’s Free Studio-A-Rama Concert Returns to Toby’s Plaza

Sat 10/13 @ 2-11PM

Last year, Case Western Reserve University radio station WRUW FM91.1’s long-running Studio-A-Rama moved from its home in the court yard behind the Mather Building where the station is located to Toby’s Plaza outside MOCA, a block away. It sounded like it might be a one-time thing, but it now appears it may be permanent.

The format is still the same. The free, all-day concert kicks of at 2pm with a lineup of local/regional bands, leading up to the national headliners, Montreal’s Land of Talk, fronted by singer/guitarist Elizabeth Powell, and 23-year-old singer/songwriter from Richmond, Virginia, Lucy Dacus (pictured, with an important message for her fellow Millennials).

It all kicks off at 2pm with Key to the Mint, followed by Biitchseat, Punch Drunk Tagalongs, Oregon Space Trail of Doom, Actual Form, Niights and, reuniting from the 90s, Paranoid Lovesick.

There’ll be food trucks onsite all day and a cash bar available. The concert, as always, is free.
