Croatian Guitarist Ana Vidovic Returns to Play for Cleveland Classical Guitar Society

Sat 10/20 @ 7:30PM

Classical guitarist Ana Vidovic is 37 but she’s been performing professionally for bearly 30 years — she made her stage debut at the age of 8.

The Croatian artist — from a musical family, of course — is now considered one of classical guitar’s young stars. She began performing internationally, based in Zagreb, when she was 11, and since then has racked up performances from Europe to Asia to North and South America. After attending the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore (where she graduated in 2005) she’s made the U.S. her base for her busy touring schedule which finds her performing with orchestras, as well as solo recitals such as the one she’ll be given for the Cleveland Classical Guitar Society at Plymouth Church in Shaker Heights.

She’ll be performing music by J.S. Bach, Mauro Giuliani, Francisco Tarrega, Agustin Barrio Mangore, Domenico Scarlatti and Astor Piazzolla.

Tickets are $22.
