Community Greenhouse Partners Hosts Wine-Tasting Benefit

Fri 10/19 @ 6PM

Community Greenhouse Partners, located on a former Catholic Church property, launched seven years ago, and now you can buy its produce and value-added products at markets such as the Coit Road Farmers Market, the Tremont Farmers Market and the Slavic Village Farmers Market.

Founded by the relentless Tim Smith, the farm grows greens and microgreens year round, with other crops during the growing season. It also offers products such as seasoned vinegars.

But it’s a shoestring operation with work done mostly by interns and volunteers, so it’s always in fundraising mode. And it has a special fundraiser coming up: its first Harvest Wine Tasting. Guests will get five varietals along with dishes made with food grown at CGP and prepared by Kevin Scheuring and Andrew Aaron Needham from the Coit Market. You’ll learn about the win and get to see what’s going on at the farm, while learning up their plans for the winter and next spring.

Tickets are $40 and must be ordered in advance. Go here.
