We’ve read once about a guy who aced an application for his dream job because he quoted The Big Lebowski throughout the interview (writer’s note: If Charles Cassady tried something like that, management would likely call security, demand they bring extra tasers and rubber hoses). So you can never know what gets a person hired these days. Witness “Networking is Dead,” a business get-together/soiree that has a Grateful Dead vibe and following.
Whether you are jam-band veterans or newbies who use Phish as a gateway drug, be at the BOP STOP for “In the Shadow of the Moon,” this season’s Networking is Dead party. There will be a Grateful Dead-themed raffle (benefiting the Youth Challenge charity), a cash bar, and the cover band Sugar Magnolia performs live at 7pm.
And maybe one might even make a Deadhead business hookup. Perhaps Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream needs a local rep?
Tickets are $20 each and can be purchased online via NetworkingIsDead.net.
