Israeli Scholar Speaks About Palestine at CSU, KSU, CWRU and the City Club

There’s no question that the situation in Israel and Palestine is volatile and confusing and solutions are elusive (hey, wasn’t Jared Kushner supposed to fix everything?). It’s a story with a multitude of facets.

Learn one of those viewpoints when Jewish Israeli historian, who directs the European Center for Palestinian Studies at the University of Exeter in England, is in town for four lectures, three at area universities and one at the City Club of Cleveland.

On Wed 9/12 @ 11am, he’ll speak at the Cleveland State University Student Center about “The Middle East Today and the Future of the Palestinians.” Later that day at 6pm, he’ll be at the Kent State University Student Center, speaking on “The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine.”

On Thu 9/13 @ 4pm, he’ll be speaking at Case Western Reserve’s Wolstein Auditorium where his lecture is titled “History is Relevant: The Israeli New History and its Legacy.”

Finally, on Fri 9/14 @ noon at the City Club, he’ll address “The Idea of Israel.” Tickets are $37 which includes luncheon Purchase here.

Their choice to invite someone critical of Israel has, typically met with controversy and they felt forced to defend their invitation to Pappe here.
