Heights Music Hop Offers Three Nights of Free Music in Cleveland Heights

Thu 9/13-Sat 9/15

Cleveland Heights’ free music festival, the Heights Music Hop, is back for its sixth year in its expanded three-day version that invites listeners to three of the city’s major commercial districts on three successive nights, with each evening providing music in multiple venues within easy walking distance.

More than 65 artists will play in 30 venues, covering genres from jazz to classical, hip hop to blues, indie rock to folk.

It starts on Thursday evening at 5:30pm in Coventry Village, with the Village Bicycle doing kickoff performance at the Peace Arch in front of the Coventry Library, followed by a lineup of hip hop performers at the Grog Shop. On Friday, the action takes place in the Cedar-Fairmount district with music at the Fairmount, Nighttown and Luna Café & Bakery. And on Saturday 19 locations in the Cedar-Lee district will host music.

Except for a silent disco at the Grog Shop Thursday evening ($10) and a closing party at the Bottlehouse on Lee Road ($10 advance/$15 at the door) all the music is free.
