Don’t Leaf Without a Designated Driver at Nature’s Brew at the Holden Arbortum

Sat 9/15 @ 6-9PM

We know you all must drink now to mourn the recent passing of UK actress Jacqueline Pearce, who turned in an unforgettable performance as the sexy space villainess of the BBC sci-fi show Blake’s 7. No kidding, imagine if Alexis from Dallas mated with Darth Vader.

It won’t take any ordinary alcoholic beverage to help get over a girl like that, so we are fortunate to have Nature’s Brew going on. This 21-and-over Saturday soiree raises funds for the Holden Arboretum in Kirtland, with its galaxy-class acreage of trees, canopy tours, wild flowers and ponds.

Participating brewers and eateries include Blake’s Hard Cider Co. (see! see! Blake’s 7 tie-in — my grumpy editors probably thought that was a total non sequitur), the Great Lakes Brewing Co., Royal Docks Brewing Co., Orval Brewery, Voodoo Brewing and more. There will be raffle tickets, complimentary non-alcoholic refreshments and snacks, games and live bluegrass-infused music from the Goldsberrys.

Tickets are $60, with a $15 designated driver admission. There are discounts for Holden and Cleveland Botanical Garden members.
