Cleveland’s BlueWater Chamber Orchestra heads into a new season, its 9th, with an opening concert at the Breen Center in Ohio City.
Daniel Meyer will conduct the ensemble as it performs a pair of Mozart horn concertos: Concerto No. 1 in D for Horn and Concerto No. 2 in E-flat for horn. One reason classical music fans won’t want to miss this is that the soloist is Cleveland Orchestra horn player Richard King.
The program also features Igor Stravinsky’s Dumbarton Oaks Concerto and Manuel de Falla’s El Amor Brujo. On the latter piece, they’ll be joined by mezzo-soprano Corrie Stallings.
Tickets are $23, $18 for seniors and $9 for students.
