Cleveland College Radio Station WCSB Funds Itself With a Record Sale

Sat 9/15 @ noon-7PM

With the future of Cleveland’s casino thrown into doubt, the downtown area now has just one point of interest left. We can only mean Cleveland State University’s WCSB-FM student-run radio station. With its wild and eclectic slate of programming and cool music, the station on the dial at 89.3FM is pretty much the glue that is the sole force holding our society together.

Can’t let anything happen to that!

In 2016 WCSB launched a vinyl record/vintage clothing market as a beginning-of-semester fundraiser and promo-celebration. Now the market day is back, with trendy secondhand fashion, wonderful old (and new) LPs, and a full assortment of flea-market inventory, in the station’s parking lot.

Expect live sets by such local musicians as the hip-hop duo FreshProduce, plus Obnox and the Space Lady. You might also run into on-air personalities such as Himiko Gogo” (whose “Pleasure Leftist” show spins contempo-pop music over kitschy VHS-era movies, played more or less in their entirety — accidental art at its best).

Admission is free.
