Black and White Photos of Great Lakes Lighthouses Go on View in Cleveland Heights

Sat 9/8 @ 4-8PM

Engineer John Robertson has an affinity for boats and sailing, passed down from his grandfather and great grandfather who ran supply boats for freighters on the Great Lakes. That’s provided a favorite subject for his black and white photography which he’ll be showing in “Sentinels of the Great Lakes,” opening at Eastwood Heights Furniture and Gallery with a reception Sat 9/8 @ 4-8pm.

“My interest in photographing the Great Lakes lighthouses was inspired by my father’s obsession — he hand-built over 70 museum-quality scale models of lighthouses,” he says. “These black and white images, many captured offshore, on a deck pitching from the waves, depict the beauty of these aging Great Lakes Sentinels.”

The show runs through Mon 10/15.
