Bilingual “Don Quijote” Staged by New World Performance Laboratory in Akron

Fri 9/14-Sat 9/29

Akron-based New World Performance Laboratory, which has an international membership and outlook, is bringing back its bilingual production of Don Quijote, which debuted in May of this year with huge success. It’s an adaptation, of course, of the Miguel Cervantes novel about the idealistic, unrealistic and slightly daffy knight and his sidekick Sancho Panza that is a touchstone for Spanish literature. The production includes classic Spanish songs.

The production takes place in Akron’s Balch Street Theatre Fridays and Saturdays @ 8pm, through Sat 9/29. There is also a performance Sun 916 @ 2pm. Tickets are $15, $10 for students. It’s suitable for families.
