Beer Hunting Season in Akron Features Brats & Brews Tasting

Sun 9/16 @ noon-6PM

The 330 Brewing Cooperative is an affiliation of alemasters and lagerphiles in Summit County. They will welcome in their fall harvest with a special “Brats & Brews” Sunday, held at member company Aqueduct Brewing.

Come enjoy not only a first taste of the fresh brew concoctions, but also bratwurst cooked up by the association, plus live music.

The venue itself is noteworthy, as the Burkhart Brewing Building, erected in 1904, was the longtime home of the regional Burkhart beer empire, with family roots (and distilleries) in this region preceding the Civil War. The company survived for nearly 100 years; its assets (bought by Burger Brewing of Cincinnati) finally shut down in the 1970s, but the craftbrew revolution has brought the building back to life.

Admission is free.
