You’re just recovering from your exhaustion following the birth of your baby, and you probably are thinking more about sleeping through the night than creating a budding artist.
But it’s never too soon for her first visit to the Akron Art Museum. She may not be able to analyze the spectacular El Anatsui wall sculpture but maybe she can pick up some artsy aura at Art Babes: Baby Drivers on a Roll, geared for little ones from birth to 12 months.
There’ll be music, rhymes, games and “sensory play” in the gallery to get baby to engage with the environment; crying is welcomed. Afterward, hang out in the classroom studio for an art project or a necessary feeding/changing/nap. They’ll be painting before you know it!
It’s $5 for a member child; $10 for a non-member child.
