Signal Tree Festival at Locks 3 and 4 Celebrates All Things Akron

Sat 8/11 @ 9AM-9PM

Akron’s Signal Tree Fest, taking place downtown at Lock 3 and Lock 4, is a daylong celebration of all things Akron: food, drink, culture, music, history. You’ll find classic Akron staples such as sauerkraut balls, NROKA sodas and Lawson’s chip dip, as well as offerings from the new wave of Akron businesses cropping up including its craft breweries.

It opens at 9am with meditation and yoga, followed by the Maker’s Market opening and music kicking off at noon. That music includes a tip of the hat to Akron’s legendary music past with the Bizarros (pictured) and a celebration of its younger performers such as Time Cat, Gretchen Pleuss and Floco Torres. (full schedule here).

The festival is free, although you can snag a VIP pass for $30 in advance, $40 at the door, which include a special VIP area, along with food and drink tickets.
