PHOTOSTREAM: Cleveland Tomato Festival @ Cavotta’s Garden Center by Anastasia Pantsios

Sun 8/19

If you love tomatoes, the only place to be Sunday afternoon August 19 was Cavotta’s Garden Center in South Collinwood where the third annual Cleveland Tomato Festival was taking place. There couldn’t have been a more appropriate place since Cavotta’s is known for growing more than 100 varieties of tomatoes from seed each year to provide plants for area home gardeners.

Some of those varieties were available for tasting, along with tomato-based treats and drinks. There was also music and dancing, and the chance to stroll Cavotta’s beautiful grounds, pet the goats and purchase some of the vegetables grown there.
