What’s nicer in the dog days of August than a scoop of cold ice cream? That’s why you’ll want to be at Kent’s 15th annual Old-Fashioned Ice Cream Social in downtown Kent at the Hometown Bank Plaza.
Ice cream is only 25 cents a scoop (free for senior), but there’s much more than just ice cream. There’ll be music by the BLK SKWIRL AKORDION KLUB and the Kent Shindig All-Stars, an Appalachian string band that will be featuring flatfoot dancers Dancin’ Dennis Copley and Lori Jo Folger. There’ll be a magic show courtesy of VIP Magic, kids activities and a 50/50 raffle.
