Come to Bay Village’s Lake Erie Nature & Science Center to Watch & Learn About the Perseid Meteor Show

Sat 8/11 @ 7:30PM

The so-called Perseid Meteor is an annual astronomical event that takes place each summer, peaking during the second week in August as a cloud of debris trails the path of a comet. This year’s peak is happening August 11-13.

So that’s a great time to head over to the Lake Erie Nature Center in Bay Village. First at 7:30 pm in its planetarium, there’ll be a chance to learn more about the phenomenon from naturalists and even hold a meteorite while learning how the create the showers. Then around 9pm everyone will head down to Huntington Beach across the way (you can come down and join them then) to watch the meteor shower.

The program at the Planetarium is $8 per person, and it’s suitable for ages 3 and up.
