The Cleveland Orchestra Plays Frank Sinatra & Ella Fitzgerald at Blossom

Sun 8/19 @ 7PM

Few vocalists straddled jazz and pop music with greater success than Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald, both of whom became beloved icons with many instantly recognizable hits. Though neither was known for writing material, they both put their indelible stamp on the tunes they sang.

The Cleveland Orchestra, conducted by Randal Craig Fleischer, will pay tribute to the two vocalists, who were born within two years of each other (in 1915 and 1917) and died within two years of each other (1996 and 1998). Vocals will be handled by Capathia Jenkins and Tony DeSare (who will also play piano). Live video of the performers will be projected on screens so even those on the lawn will get a good look at the artists.

Tickets start at $26 for lawn seats.
