Sun 7/8 @ 7PM
Sarah Potenza is not a delicate little flower of a singer. Rolling Stone described her as “Janis Joplin-Aretha Franklin hybrid.” The Nashville-based singer-songwriter brings some powerful pipes to bear on her American roots-based rock and roll. She’s large, loud, ballsy, passionate and humorous, and got rave reviews for her 2016 debut Monster, with its blues and R&B influences.
She’s currently working on the follow-up now, but if you’d like to check her out beforehand, she’ll be in town this week to perform in Joel and Lynn’s Ohio City living room as part of their Mechanic Street House concert series. We’re not sure a living room can contain her but if you’d like to see, reserve your spot by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
It’s a $20 suggested donation, which all goes to the performers. Doors open @ 6:30; music begins @ 7pm.
