The work of four northeast painters comprises the new show at the Beachwood Community Center called Four Mindful Art Practices. It features work by Lainard Bush, Kathy Skerritt, Eva Wolf and Stephen Calhoun. All four draw on elements of he natural world to create work that is grounded and contemplative and, in the case of all but Volf, whose specialty is spare, elegant seascapes, essentially abstract, while retaining the essence of the source material.
The show opens Thu 7/26 and will remain on view through Sat 8/18. The artist reception is Sun 7/29 @ 1-2:30pm. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday @ 9am-4pm, Saturday @ 10am-3pm and Sunday @ 10am-1pm.
