Crank Out a Film in 48 Hours, Win Chance to Screen at Cannes: Enter the 48-Hour Film Project

Fri 7/13 @ 6 PM-Sun 7/15 @ 7PM

Move over, Telluride and Sundance, Cleveland is coming to get you!

The 48 Hour Film Project is a weekend long challenge for filmmakers across C-Town and environs to create compelling films in just 48 hours, which will be screened at a local theater late July.

The local winner goes lens-to-lens with filmmakers from around the globe at Filmapalooza 2019, which means a shot at the grand prize: the opportunity to screen at the Cannes Film Festival 2019 Short Film Corner. Ooooh, yeah!

Perhaps most exciting is that the artists aren’t allowed to know the film genre until immediately before the 48 hours begins. That’s when the random drawing assigns each time its category, and each receives a character, prop and line of dialogue, all of which must appear in all films.

(Check back with to get the August 8 wrap party details.)

Participation fee is $188.
