Corn’s in Season So It’s Time for the Annual Corn Roast at the Coit Farmers Market

Sat 8/4 @ 11AM-1PM

Although you can get corn in grocery stores all year round now, it’s one of those things that’s just so much better in season, since it’s only at its peak immediately after harvest. And it’s in season right now!

That’s why the Coit Road Farmers Market holds its annual Cliff Schultz Corn Roast now. Come to the market (which is open Saturday mornings from 8am-1pm) and do your shopping, then hang out and enjoy a lunch of local sweet corn, along with smoked pulled pork, BBQ chicken or smoked catfish, and sides that include items for vegetarians and vegans. Depending on how hungry you are, meals are $6 and $10, with money raised going to the maintenance and improvement of the non-profit market.
