Given the way things are going in this country, many people will be relating to Bastille Day, the French national holiday celebrating the storming of the Bastille prison in 1789, a key moment in the French Revolution.
While we wait for ours, we can celebrate here in Cleveland at a party that also celebrate the 10th anniversary of the French city of Rouen in Normandy becoming Cleveland’s sister city. It takes place at Wade Oval, where the Cleveland Bazaar will have handmade/homemade vendors, chefs from Cleveland and Rouen will be offering French cuisine, and musicians from the Cleveland Pops Orchestra, Baldwin Wallace Conservatory and the Rouen Conservatory will provide musical backdrop.
The event is free.
