SNPJ Farm Celebrates Father’s Day with Polka Mass, Dancing and Slovenian-Style Food

The Polka Mass celebrated by Minnesota priest Father Frank Perkovich is a regular and much loved feature of Cleveland’s long-running Thanksgiving Polka Weekends.

Now Father Perkovich will be making a midsummer visit to Cleveland to conduct his mass at the SNPJ Farm in Kirtland for its Father’s Day Dance. Cleveland’s Jeff Pecon Orchestra will be providing the musical backdrop of polkas and waltzes for the celebration, which starts at 1pm. They’re have singalong sheets available.

After the mass, Pecon and his group, featuring John Pecon, Ralph Delligatti and Fred Kuha, will play music for dancing from 3-7pm. Hearty food, including smoked Slovenian sausage, home-style roast beef and fried bologna sandwiches, will be available for purchase starting at 2pm.

Admission is $8; kids and teens are free.
