Be Over the Moon for LUNAFEST Film Night in Canton

Thu 6/21 @ 7:30-9PM

Had enough already of noisy, overproduced, testosterone-fueled Marvel Comics superhero movies? The Palace Theatre in Canton hosts a “Girls Night Out” of cinema with a visit from the annual LUNAFEST, a national traveling film festival of award-winning short films made by and for “strong women everywhere.”

[REPORTER’S NOTE: Wonder Woman, you must recall, is a DC property, not Marvel. So we’re not out of the woods yet!]

The 2018 LUNAFEST is a 90-minute program of nine international¬† films of all genres and stories, and this special screening benefits Girl on the Run East Central Ohio, a nonprofit that builds character in young females via beginners marathons and other foot-race sports. Raffle tickets will also be sold, prizes including tickets to Hamilton (hey, wait, wasn’t Hamilton a guy?).

General admission is $20 for adults, $10 for students, with a special VIP $50 rate that includes wine, appetizers and other extras.
