If superheroes really existed, why couldn’t they use their superpowers to bring back drive-in movies? The once-ubiquitous “ozoners” were great summer-moviegoing family experiences for a generations, dotting the American landscape.
Fortunately, North Ridgeville still has a beautifully maintained specimen, the Aut-O-Rama Twin, which commemorates the opening of The Incredibles II and other summer superhero features with a special “Super Incredible Night at the Drive-In.”
There will be cosplaying costumed avengers, including the Ghostbusters, for photo opps, raffles, special treat bags (for the first 250 kids past the gate) and, of course, the movies.
Major participants are cast members of superheroestokidsinohio, a troupe that tours hospitals to entertain children fighting severe illnesses. Management is asking for a $5 donation (per car) to go directly to their mission.
Admission is otherwise $10 per adult, $5 per child. Sorry, Superdog and Rocket Raccoon, no pets allowed.
