oWOW Radio Kicks Off Free Concert Series at the Music Box With Blues/Soul Man Travis Haddix

Wed 5/23 @ 6PM

Last summer, Cleveland-based, Cleveland-centric online radio station oWOW hosted a series of summertime concerts at the Music Box Supper Club, which were broadcast live on the station. They evoked the legendary weekly Coffeebreak Concerts heard on WMMS-FM during its heyday years of the late ’70s and early-mid ’80s. (oWOW is a project of John Gorman, who led WMMS during those years).

Those free concerts return for another season at the West Bank Flats club. They’ll kick off with Travis “Moonchild” Haddix, a Cleveland-based vocalist, guitarist and songwriter who has been playing his pop/soul/blues musical blend for five decades. His earliest release was in 1968; his most recent is the album See What I Want to See, was release last fall, shortly before his 79th birthday.

The event includes food and cocktail specials so get there early (doors open at 5) and have something to eat and drink.
