Northeast Ohio modern dance ensemble the Movement Project is always looking for new ways and places to present its work.
This week it will be presenting new work by TMP choreographers Elyse Morckel, Irene Honora, Kristyn Lein, Grace Nicklos and Megan Gargano in the gallery at the Transformer Station, with a performance artist Marcia Custer as their special guest. They’ll perform amidst photos by Richard Renaldi and Jess Dugan that explore the boundaries of personal identity including gender identity.
There will be two one hour and 15 minute performances with doors opening an hour before each one. Afterward the second show ends at 10:30, guests from both shows are invited to stay for food and drink and a chance to meet the artists.
Tickets are $16 in advance, $18 at the door.
