Local filmmaker Najada Davis has already made his first independently funded, full-length film with help from fellow Cleveland State students and well as Tri-C students.
Legion of Lyricists follows its central character Chris Black, who at age 25 is a veteran of more than a decade in the Cleveland’s hip-hop scene. Black, who is white, encounters others who question his motives and dedication. The film features musical performers by Black and others, with original music written by the performers.
The film premieres this Monday at the Atlas Cinemas Diamond Center in Mentor. Tickets are $15. Get them here.
