Is This a Lager I See Before Me? Support Local Shakespeareans at PLAY ON!

Sun 5/20 @ 5-8PM

The Cleveland Shakespeare Festival is not to be confused with the legendary Great Lakes Theater Festival of Tom Hanks fame (that began as the Great Lakes Shakespeare Festival). The Cleveland Shakespeare Festival arose only 20 years ago, with CWRU students bringing free culture to the region with homegrown Shakespeare-in-the-park. But given the local economy, the troupe has make money now, and so will now only do Marvel/DC Comics superheroes. At kids’ birthdays.

Okay, just kidding, JUST KIDDING! But we hope we have frighteningly dramatized what could happen to the Bard without public support of this fine traveling theater arts group. An annual fundraiser, PLAY ON! Takes place at the Speakeasy room of the Bier Markt in Ohio City, with food, gourmet pizza, beer (yea, verily) raffles and chances to meet the thespians.

The $25 tickets are available at the door or online here.
