Your Kids Can Learn Fishing Basics at Lake Erie Nature & Science Center’s Family Fishing Day

Sun 5/20 @ 9AM-noon

Have you noticed your kid eying fisherman along the lakeshore with curiosity? Bring him or her to the Lake Erie Nature and Science Center in Bay Village for Family Fishing Day.

Instructor Sarah Orlando of Ohio Sea Grant will give attendees some background in what equipment is needed, how to cast, where to cast and what you might catch. Then everyone will head down to the lake to do a little actual fishing. Equipment is provided so you don’t have to buy anything and find your kid isn’t all that impressed once he/she tries it. Anyone over 16 who wants to fish must have a valid license, and there should be one adult for every two children age 5-15.

The fee is $5 per person. Register at the LENSC website.
