For many in the greater Cleveland community, the big national event to remember wasn’t the 2016 Republican National Convention but Gay Games 9, which took place from August 9-16, 2014. Sporting and cultural events and parties were held all over the region while a central activities hub was located on the mall downtown.
As part of this week’s Pride celebration, there’ll be a “Gay Games 9 Reunion Brunch,” taking place at Merwin’s Wharf in the Flats, to celebrate the impact of the games on northeast Ohio and bring together some of the thousands of people who competed, volunteered or attended the games.
The brunch is $18 for adults, $12 for kids 12 and under.
