E Street Band Drummer Max Weinberg’s Band Plays Classic Rock Audience Requests at the Winchester

Thu 5/3 @ 8PM

Fans of classic rock certainly know the name Max Weinberg. Originally on track to graduate from college and perhaps become a layer like his dad he landed in Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band in 1974 just prior to Springsteen’s rise to stardom with his 1975 Born to Run album.

More than 40 years on, the E Street band still tours but not with the heavy schedule it used to maintain when the members were young. In his off time, one of Weinberg’s projects is Max Weinberg’s Jukebox in which he and his four-piece band play audience requests – an entire set list of them.

Each night, the audience can choose from a video menu of more than 200 classic tunes by the Rolling Stones, the Beatles and of course the E Street Band. Call out your faves and the band will play them.

They’ll be playing in Cleveland — one of the key cities in making Born to Run a smash — at the Winchester Music Tavern in Lakewood. Tickets are $65.
