Cleveland Ballet Debuts New Work “Alice,” Based on Lewis Carroll Classic, at Playhouse Square

Fri 5/11 @ 8PM

Sat 5/12 @ 11AM

The fledgling Cleveland Ballet, which made its debut two and a half years ago, is really starting to soar.

This week it debuts its new ballet Alice, which it commissioned from former Joffrey Ballet member, choreographer Margo Sappington, who has done pieces for the Pennsylvania Ballet, the Harkness Ballet and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, among others.

The two-hour ballet is based on the story of Alice in Wonderland, following her as she falls through the rabbit hole into a world where she meets an array of strange creatures.

It will have two performances at Playhouse Square’s Ohio Theatre. Tickets are $25-$69.
