Artists Who Live and Work in the Tower Press Building Show Their Work in “Home”

Fri 5/18 @ 5-9PM

The Tower Press Building on Superior near E. 18th Street is home to 16 artists who have live/work spaces there. So it’s appropriate that they have dubbed their spring show Home.

Their work will be on view in the light-flooded ground floor Wooltex Gallery in their annual group exhibit. You’ll see a wide range of work, including painting, prints, photography, sculpture and film. They include artists such as photographer Michael Levy, filmmaker Rob Banks, painter/collagist William Martin Jean and JenMarie Zeleznak, who paints images of animals that are eerie and hard to describe. To learn more about all the artists, go here.

There will be entertainment, snacks and drinks available, so it will be a real party and a chance to meet some of the artists who pioneered living and working out of studios in the Superior Arts District. The show is on view through Fri 6/29.
