Get Sticky With the Geauga County Maple Festival in Chardon

Thu 4/26 @ Noon-10PM

Fri 4/27 @ 10AM-11PM

Sat 4/28 @ 10AM-11PM

Sun 4/29 @ 10AM- PM

A famous Groucho Marx insult, ‘You oughta bore a hole in yourself and let the sap run out,” can at least be uttered in polite company at the Geauga County Maple Festival at the Chardon Square.

This is a community celebration marking the spring maple syrup harvest, now in its 89th year. Fresh maple syrup will go great with pancake breakfasts, lunches and dinners — and maybe even the more unusual attractions, like beard/mustache contests, bathtub races, competitive pizza-eating and a lumberjack show. Everything comes back to the syrup; don’t miss the “Stir Booth,” of course.

Also expect carnival rides, live music, running, martial-arts/acrobatics and a big festival parade that happens on two days, Saturday and Sunday, at 3pm.

Admission is free.
