Go Beyond Dorothy, as Cleveland Jazz Orchestra Honors Judy Garland at the Music Box

Fri 3/9 @ 8PM

She was born Frances Ethel Gumm, but the world came to know her as Judy Garland. The Cleveland Jazz Orchestra honors the iconic vocalist with a special concert at the Music Box in the Flats.

The CJO is joined by Joan Ellison, a singer renown for her devotion to the Garland catalog and arrangements, as well as the song stylings of George Gershwin and the 1920s through the 60s — Broadway, Hollywood, the Palladium and the torchy-nightclub circuit. All of those fed into the sensations that Judy Garland evoked in her immortal performances.

Admission is $28 at the door, with discounts for advance purchase. Doors open at 6 PM to accommodate dining.
