Kent State University is home to one of the country’s premiere schools of fashion design and merchandising in the country, an outstanding collection of fashion and a museum space to display it. So it’s not surprise that the faculty has produced fashionable work of its own.
You can see designs by the faculty from the Shannon Rodgers and Jerry Silverman School of Fashion Design and Merchandising as well as Kent’s Visual Communications and Design Department, at a show called The Art of Fashion, on view at Cuyahoga Community College’s Western Campus through Thu 3/29. It’s open to the public Monday-Thursday 8am-8pm and Fridays @ 9am-2pm at Gallery West on the second floor of the library. It’s free.
