Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with Irish Music and Reggae at the Music Box

Sat 3/17 @ 7PM

Are you one of those people who really likes Irish music but doesn’t LOVE it? And maybe you’d like to hear some of it on St. Patrick’s Day to celebrate the occasion but not a whole night of it?

Then Shamrocks and Dreadlocks at the Music Box is the place for you. After the parade, and after your dinner of corned beef and cabbage (ugh), come down to catch a set by the Irish band the Portersharks at 7pm, and then, to wash away all that jaunty fiddlin’, stick around and at 9pm Carlos Jones & his P.L.U.S. Band will hit the stage with their languid, feel-good reggae riddims. DJ Packy Malley, Cleveland’s biggest reggae enthusiast, will be spinning some tunes as well.

And if you didn’t get your corned beef and shepherd’s pie earlier, they’ll have that too. And yes, there will be Guinness. Wear green. Or wear green, yellow and red. Suit yourself.

Reserved seating is $18, standing room is $12 in advance, $18 at the door.
