Ice to See You at the Kent Ice Carving Festival

Sat 2/10 @ 1-4PM

It’s a la mode for local police departments to go around arresting Queen Elsa when winter gets too bad. Maybe tipsters on the mean streets of Kent can earn some snitch money by suggesting detectives target the annual “Make Mine with Ice” ice-carving festival.

This will be the 14th year that Standing Rock Cultural Arts has presented the afternoon of ice installations and how-to carving demonstration. Many of the artists and teams come from the students of the University of Akron, and ice maestro Mitch Schrader comes top-billed.

Food available onsite will include pastries and hot soups. Please don’t spill on the masterpieces. Admission is free.
