Get Your Sap Flowing with Doan Brook’s Winter Tree ID Hike

Sat 2/10 @ 2-4PM

Just because it’s winter and Northeast Ohio trees haven’t yet budded doesn’t mean nature freaks can’t learn a heck of a lot about them.

In fact, identifying trees in winter offers participants a wealth of information about the giant plants, and Dr. Ted Auch will be there to help participants hike the Doan Brook Parklands and Lower Lake and learn techniques for identifying common native and naturalized tree and shrub species.

Dress for the weather and steep terrain. Meet at Lower Lake Bridge, between North and South Park boulevards. (Google maps identifies the road and bridge as Brook Road.)

Registration is required, and the hike costs $10.
