Violinist Mary Beth Ions Demonstrates Her String Theory at the Lakewood Library

Sun 1/14 @ 2PM

A Baldwin Wallace and Penn State graduate in music, Mary Beth Ions brings her presentation on the endurance and versatility of the violin to a public performance in the main Lakewood Public Library.

Even with synthesizers and intriguing attempts to electronify the instrument, the basic violin remains unchanged over centuries. Ions combines storytelling with performance as she demonstrates use of the instrument in genres ranging from classical to pop.

Admission is free.
