Dumb kids are eating Tide Pods these days for social media. Our solution: turn them on to orchid flowers instead, which are just as Instagram-pretty and colorful. And edible.

Thus, the 15th annual Orchid Mania, held at the Cleveland Botanical Garden, with the the Greater Cleveland Orchid Society show/sale a major component.

More than a thousand individual flower breeds of this most enticing bloom will be on display. There is a special “Fashion Meets the Botanicals” exhibition — featuring horticultural designs by the KSU — a Saturday “Ask the Orchid Doctor” special (though Orchid Doctor really sounds like a Power Rangers villain), and the evening “Orchids After Dark” display on Wednesday nights.

On March 11 there is a special members-only plant sale.

Admission to Orchid Mania is $12 for adults, $8 for children ages 3-12 and free for kids 2 and under. Cleveland Botanical Garden and Holden Arboretum members are admitted for free.
