Sun 1/7 @ 2PM
Cleveland percussionist/composer Paul Stranahan is always stretching his range with intriguing projects and formats that cover jazz, pop, experimental and world music. Akron guitarist Tim Mirth similarly covers wide ground, playing classical music, jazz metal, jazz fusion and modern metal. The two have been frequently collaborators.
One of those collaborations is the experimental Night Terrors, which, they say, “performs like a dream gone awry; giving yourself in is the only reality that makes sense.” In it the duo explores sonic textures, from quiet to abrasive, electronic and acoustic to create a constantly shifting musical landscape.
They’ll be performing at the Lakewood Public Library. The event is free and open to all.
