Local Rockers the Whiskey Hollow Debut Hard-Hitting New EP at the Grog Shop

Sat 12/9 @ 8:30PM

The Whiskey Hollow is the band project of Madeline Finn, a young Cleveland vocalist/composer/guitarist whose earthy vocals and sophisticated songwriting make her sound experienced beyond her years. Her raw performances are imbued with American roots sounds, including blues and folk, in a way that’s visceral and even confrontational. She probably wants you to forget that in 2010, under the name Maddie Finn, hers was the first female-fronted band to win the High School Rock Off, when she was just 16.

Now the band has a new EP called Greenhouse which they’ll celebrate with a performance at the Grog Shop.

“You can expect a massive departure from our last release,” the band posted. “We have hung up the soft, acoustic-based style and flown in a heavy-hitting, guitar- and vocally driven powerhouse of a recording. We have blended as many influences as possible into GREENHOUSE and we can’t wait to share it with you!”

They’ll be joined by three other local acts, the Tom Katlees, the Mason District and Meg & the Magnetospheres. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door.
