Burning River Brass Blows Seasonal Notes at Arts Renaissance Tremont

Even though it kinda gave a black eye to the region, in one sense it was fortunate the Cuyahoga River caught on fire, as it created a nice, shorthand “brand” for the region. Example: the long-running local music ensemble Burning River Brass. It just wouldn’t be the same band under the name Plain Old River Not Remotely Caught On Fire At All Brass.

Founded in 1996, the horn troupe made their debut at Arts Renaissance Tremont — the concert series held at Pilgrim Congregational Church. Even after 21 years of touring internationally, the BRB returns customarily to Tremont for a December Christmas concert — or two.

Admission is by free-will donation, and visitors are welcome to bring non-perishable food items for donation to the food pantry.
