Acoustic Duo Honey Dewdrops Are Back in NE Ohio at the Riverdog Gallery

Fri 12/8 @ 7:30PM

Northeast Ohio just can’t get enough of the Honey Dewdrops. They began the year with an appearance at Cuyahoga Valley National Park’s Happy Days Lodge, returned to their old stomping grounds at Peninsula’s GA.R. Hall in October, and now they’re winding up the year with an appearance at another rustic, laidback NE Ohio venue, the Riverdog Gallery in Lorain County.

The Honey Dewdrops are the husband-and-wife duo of Kagey Parrish and Laura Wortman, who play tradition-based acoustic music, which relies on guitar, banjo, mandolin, harmonica and the duo’s intuitive vocal harmonies, combines an artless simplicity and an artful confidence. Original from Virginia, but now settled in Baltimore, Maryland (and spending a good chunk of their time on the road), the Honey Dewdrops released their fourth album Tangled Country in 2015. Its spirit and stories emerged directly from all that road time.

It’s a $15 donation at the door and reservations are essential since the gallery is much smaller than the outdoor barn where concerts take place in the summer. Call 440-965-8309. Lorenzo’s wood-fired pizza will be on site selling pies for $8 and of course, as usual, you can bring your own food and drink.
