Hear From Two International Artists Participating in Next Year’s FRONT Triennial at Glenville Conversations

Wed 11/15 @ 6PM

With the debut of FRONT Triennial happening next summer bringing a wave of international artists to town, there are already plenty of opportunities for the community to learn and get involved.

One of those is the Glenville Exchanges, conversations with artists taking place at FRONT Porch, the event’s headquarters on East 105th in the University Circle/Glenville area.

This week, one of the event’s two artistic directors, Jens Hoffmann, will be leading a conversation with two of the international artists who are participating in FRONT as part of its residency program to spend time in Cleveland creating work. Venezuelan Juan Araujo is a painter and installation artist who lives and works in Lisbon, Portugal; he’ll be doing a site-specific installation at Oberlin College’s Frank Llord Wright-designed Weltzheimer/Johnson House. Indrė Šerpytytė is a photographer who hails from Lithuania and is based in London, where she creates installations dealing with political repression and the impacts of war.

The event is free, although reservations are recommended.
