Debbie Gifford Does Christmas at the BOP STOP

Sat 12/2 @ 8PM

Not to be confused with the similarly named teen-pop idol of the mall circuit from 30 years ago (but we have nothing personal against Debbie Gibson, honest), Cleveland-based Debbie Gifford earned a masters degree in opera performance from Cleveland State University. But jazz vocals also appealed to her, and now she brings that fusion to the Music Settlement’s BOP STOP in Ohio City.

In her “Tis the Season to be Jazzy” Christmas-time set Gifford performs her special blend of stylings along with pianist-composer John Trzcinski, plus guest backup musicians, mixing the seasonal catalogue with riffs on Latin, Swing and Funk.

For shoppers the latest Gifford/Trzcinski’s CD Release Changes will be on sale. Admission is $15.
