Dogs and Humans Have Fun at Woofstock While Helping Animals at Geauga Rescue Village

Sun 9/10 @ 10AM-4PM

Woofstock, the annual fundraiser hosted by the Geauga Humane Society, is bigger and better than ever this year. It’s moved to the Cleveland Metroparks Polo Field in Chagrin Falls where there will be a lot more room for those activities that pups (and people) enjoy.

They include a kickoff parade and best look contest with prizes for best group, best individual and most creative looks; a senior dog Olympics for dogs 7 and older; such fun dog activities as an ice cream-eating contest, a kissing contest and a dog/owner look-alike contest; and a blessing of the animals at 10:15am.

For humans there will be food trucks, vendors with lots of products and services for pets, and live music from Bill March, Amanda and Rick, All Is Harvest, North Coast Goats and Matt Harmon. And yes — be warning — there will be adoptable dogs there from the Geauga Humane Society’s Rescue Village. So you might leave with a bigger animal family than you came with.

Registration fee is $25 for adults 15 and up, which includes Woofstock T-shirt, free for youth 14 and under with the option to purchase a $15 T-shirt. They hope to raise $100,000 to help care for the large variety of pets and farm animals they rescue.
